Fly On, Tinkerbell — Paris Hilton’s Beloved Dog Passes Away

Yesterday on Instagram, Paris Hilton broke the news to her fans. Her beloved dog, Tinkerbell, had passed away. She wrote:

My heart is broken. I am so sad & devastated. After 14 amazing years together my baby Tinkerbell has passed away of old age. I feel like I’ve lost a member of my family. She was such a special & incredible soul. We went through so much together. I can’t believe she’s gone. I will miss her & think about her for the rest of my life. I love you Tinky, you are a Legend & will never be forgotten.” #RIPTinkerbell

We truly lost a legend yesterday, the icon of the ’00s, Tinkerbell. She was the unspoken third star of The Simple Life, suffered kidnapping attempts, rocked tiny outfits, and was the Original Chihuahua in a Starlet’s Purse.

Here, Tinkerbell is killing her SNL monologue.

Tinkerbell made the headlines more than any other dog in the world. Obama‘s dog didn’t even get this much publicity. She was spotted shopping on Rodeo Drive, cuddling up to A-List stars, and walking movie premieres.

But that doesn’t mean fame was always easy for Tinkerbell Hilton…

Here she is, clearly exhausted, in a Louis Vuitton purse. She should be happy, but she’s wondering when it will all finally slow down for her. Maybe her and Paris could take a vacation. She’s had a bit too much vermouth, her shirt is falling off, she’s worried the paparazzi outside will see her in a vulnerable state. She’s told Paris, “Never let them see you cry, kid,” but sometimes she needs to remind herself of that too.

You will be missed, Tinkerbell.
